Recognized as Folk-Medicine Practitioners in Western cultures, A Curandera is a traditional Health Care Provider whose expertise is Holistic Medicine; A practice centered around the person’s Physical, Mental and Spiritual Well-Being. Curanderas have healed their communities by means of natural remedies for centuries; using herbs as topical and ingestive medicine, nutritional and spiritual counseling to aid in bodily health & harmony, as well as other Naturopathic methods, alternative to and or integrated within western medicine.

Largely influenced by her passions for Sports Medicine, her hometown, Santa Clara, Cuba, and her spiritual community of OSHA-IFA Practitioners and Palo Priests, Exercise Physiologist and Licensed Massage Therapist, Dayana Gonzalez, dreamt of a way that she could fuse her two passions together, and she created “La Curandera.”
