Modalities that we offer:
Swedish: A deeply relaxing massage with long sweeping strokes, rhythmic tapping, kneading, vibration and friction to promote circulation and loosen “knotted” connective tissue
Deep Tissue: A specialized Swedish massage targeting deeper connective tissue that causes uncomfortable pain and aches in tight, sore, and stiff muscles. Deep tissue uses the same techniques as Swedish but may use a deeper pressure with a number of other techniques found in Sports massages, trigger point, acupressure, & neuromuscular.
Sports Massage: A modality similar to Deep tissue used for many athletes and others with moderate to active lifestyles. The therapist will work on a specific area of the body causing pain, discomfort, and limited mobility, incorporating different techniques: Assisted stretching is often a technique used to observe and assess the range of motion and the severity of the muscle tension within the area of focus.
Lymphatic Drainage: A type of massage that involves gentle, slow hand movements to stimulate the natural drainage of the lymphatic system, which carries waste products away from the tissue, through the lymphs and back toward the heart.
Craniosacral Therapy: A gentle, hands on technique used on your skull and spine to promote pain relief from headaches, neck pain, discomfort in the back and shoulders, concussions, traumas to the skull and spine, and the side effects of cancer treatment by decreasing tension to the craniosacral region.
Myofascial Release: A manual therapy used to gently stretch and massage the skeletal muscle, a “soft-tissue mobilization” technique used to separate the fascia, a connective tissue made up of collagen fibers with fluid in between each layer, that surrounds and supports the body’s organs, muscles, bones, and nerves.
Chair Massage: A perfect option for clients desiring a massage while fully clothed and sitting in an upright position. Like a regular massage, it promotes muscle tension relief in the neck, back, and shoulders, reducing stress, and promoting relaxation.
Pre & Post Natal Massage: Massages specifically for new and expecting mothers, aiming to aid in muscle and joint aches, including back strains, discomfort during pregnancy, ease headaches, and reduce pre and postpartum stress.
